Hads Leppet next part again part 2

More work on the hads leppet story. I definitely went in a wacky direction with literal dimensional traveling. I’m not quite sure where I will go with that next, but we’ll see. I don’t know if I will post another part of this story tomorrow, I might want to wait until I have something a little more substantial than these snippets, especially if they’re just drafts. Regardless, if you have any feedback let me know and I will be back tomorrow with another post.

Suddenly out of the horde came a demon that looked differently than the rest, he was dressed in dark red armor which emitted an evil aura. He brandished a staff that was made out of a foreign metal. A mysterious gem shined an almost artificial green color and weird multicolored ropes ran down the metal shaft. He waved the staff in the air and the demon hordes began to recede, leaving the four facing the mysterious demon.

“Anyone got an idea of who this guy is?” Hads asked his party members.

“Not a clue, but he’ll fall down all the same.” Illinessa brandished her large sword.

“Your overconfidence will only prove to be your downfall.” The figure raised his staff and it only started to shine brighter.

“I’ll believe it when it happens!” Illinessa charged forward.

“Illinessa, stop! Don’t go in alone!” Hads quickly started to run after her while McFastener began casting a protection spell.

As Hads_Leppet and Illinessa were running towards the demon, he pointed at the two and released a massive beam of yellow-greenish light. Hads quickly overtook Illinessa and stood to block it with his shield. The beam phased right through the shield and collided with both Hads and Illinessa, flowing through them. A burning sensation came over the two and they both blacked out.

The sensation of falling jolted Hads awake. He frantically looked around and saw that he was surrounded by mesmerizing patterns, falling towards a light at what seemed to be the ground of this mysterious dimension. He scrambled around, trying to find his footing mid-air before he reached the light. His struggles only seemed to make the ground approach faster and before he knew it, the light slammed into him like a cliff and he blacked out again.

This time when he woke up, he was on the ground. He opened his eyes, hoping to not be greeted by abstract patterns. Luckily, he wasn’t stuck in a that psychedelic nightmare. Unfortunately, he wasn’t back on Igrax. He appeared to be stuck in the middle of a giant storm, surrounded by green flowing clouds. As he began to stand up, he noticed that he was on a rocky hill in what looked like the eye of the storm. A stinging pain shot up his arm and he collapsed, when he managed to pull his arm up, a sickly green fire was burning on his hand. The flames died down and Hads was finally able to stand up again. When he looked down at his hands he noticed that his palm was now branded with a similar symbol that was on Ilioneus’s arm.

“What the…” He rubbed the skin, still heated from the fire.

Suddenly, a bright light shown down on him from the top of the hill. Electricity sparked out of it wildly and Hads narrowly dodged a strike. Despite the clear danger that it posed, something drew Him towards it. He wasn’t sure if he was hallucinating or not, but it looked like a hand reached out of the light and he could only walk closer. As he moved closer he began to feel tingly from the mark on his hand. He reached out with the branded hand and all he could see was a similar light coming from it before being blinded with a flash of green.

Suddenly he was standing in a place completely different from the storm he was just in, he was standing in some sort of ruined temple. What were once glorious stone walls now lay in ruins. Strewn across were still burning fires and dead bodies, dressed in ceremonial robes. He didn’t realize that he still had his arm outstretched until it began to ache. When he brought it down he was frightened to see that he still had the mark. It didn’t even look fresh, it looked like it had been there for his entire life. As he began to take in more of his surroundings, he realized that he was wearing completely different armor. Gone was his paladin’s plate mail, instead he was donning chainmail with some green cloth for comfort around the joints. He didn’t even have a weapon.

“Don’t move!” A voice barked from behind him.

Wanting to at least face his captor, he began to tentatively turn around. Before he could, he felt a metal tip press against his back.

“I said, don’t move.” The voice, much closer this time, was packed with a lot more malice, “Who are you and what are you doing here?”

“Hads Leppet,” Hads figured it was best to comply until he finds out more of what was going on, “I’m from House Leppet and I don’t know how I got here.”

“House Leppet? I’ve never heard of that place before.”

“Well that sucks…” Wherever this place was, he probably wasn’t going to be able to get back to Igrax anytime soon.

“Come with me, and we’ll go through some more thorough questioning with Lady Cassandra back at the castle!”

“Lady Cassandra, that’s who’s in charge then” Hads concluded that it would be best to meet this Lady Cassandra and hope that she could understand what was happening.
