hads leppet 2 the next part

Shorter piece for today, for the hads leppet 2 story, consider this the start of chapter one. This was written a little quickly so obviously some details/dialogue needs some work.

Hads_Leppet swiftly parried a swipe at his head, “These guys just don’t stop coming!”

Illinessa called a divine hammer down on another demon that was about to strike Hads in the back, “What’s wrong Hads, feeling old?”

A giant wolf, glowing blue eyes, barreled through a small group of demons before morphing back into the lithe form of Ulnersa, “Don’t make fun of him, that’s our glorious leader,” she chuckled a bit before morphing back into a wolf and charging off into more demons.

“Why is everyone picking on me today?” Hads quickly ducked beneath a glowing swipe, “It’s hard enough to throw quips back while trying to avoid my head being cut off.”

Hads felt a protective shield materialize around him, absorbing an incoming fel blast. Through the smoke rode McFastener on his glowing purple tiger. He mustered up a beam of light and shot through an incoming swarm.

“Guys, less time picking on Hads, more time spent saving the world.”

“Oh come on, not you too,” Hads shot a glowing hammer before stabbing his sword into another seemingly faceless demon.

“How long have we been fighting these guys now?”

“Long enough for me to start getting annoyed, where are the reinforcements that we were promised.” Illinessa chimed in.

“They probably got attacked while trying to get here.” Hads responded, “We’re deeper in legion territory than any of the other groups.”

The ground suddenly rumbled around them and a giant infernal burst out from under the ground, towering over them. With fire bursting from his body he slammed the ground and sent out a shockwave towards Hads leppet. He tried to dodge it, but he was caught in the blast and was sent flying. Luckily, McFastener conjured a hand out of light and caught him, gently setting him on the ground. Before the infernal could make its next move, it was hit in the face by a glowing hammer.

“Why don’t you pick on someone your own size” Illinessa stood confidently in front of it, brandishing her great sword.

It growled and prepared to charge at her.

“Oh, I didn’t mean me, I meant my friend.” Illinessa dashed out of the way as Ulnersa charged right at it and bit its shoulder.

The infernal let out a massive roar as it tried to pull Ulnersa off of it. While it up was distracted Illinessa waited for it to turn away from her before running and swinging her sword at its leg. The blade struck true and lobbed off the lower half of the infernal’s leg. Illinessa quickly followed it up by jumping onto its back and hacking at its neck. Her strength quickly pushed the sword right through and the infernal’s head tumbled to the ground, the rest of its body following. They didn’t have much time to celebrate as the hordes resumed their onslaught.

“I don’t think we’re getting those reinforcements…” Hads said as they charged back into the demons.
