Groceries

        This was a small piece I wrote in the span of 30 minutes for a quick writing prompt. It was supposed to show a one sided conversation. Any feedback is appreciated and I will be back tomorrow with more!

Hey man! Sorry for any background noise, it turns out that the weekends are a convenient time for EVERYONE to come shopping here. I got your messages about what I should grab for you so I’m just working my way through that now.

So I have some bad news, they are all out of strawberry yogurt so I’m just going to grab peach instead. It’s all fruit covered in fermented milk anyways. I did get the right kind of cheese, that weird four cheese pizza blend that you like to use as extra cheese to top your Kraft boxed stuff. Why do you even eat that anyways, you know making it yourself is much more rewarding and certainly more tasty. Regardless, I got you enough boxes for the month hopefully, they were even on sale!

I know I always say this, but dude, you don’t need to buy bananas just to make them into banana bread. Buy them, eat them, and then if they rot you can make banana bread. How much banana bread mix do you even have, I’ve gotten you one every other week for like the last two months? I’m getting one this week so hopefully it’s not one for the pile, and if it is, you gotta share it with me. It is second only to carrot cake to me.

So I’m about to leave the store right now, you owe me like $60 for everything this time. I’ll drive back and leave it all on your front porch like normal. I’ll also grab your mail for you. It was looking pretty full the last time I drove by. Hope everything is good man. I’ll be back next week!

Goodbye Counter Strike: Global Offensive

  Well, considering everything that's happening in CSGO right this moment I think it's very likely today is the last day for the game. I don’t really wanna make this some long sappy post about the really nice memories I’ve had with this game so I’ll just keep it short and simple. Without CSGO, my life would never have gone this way. After spending many years failing at sports I was beginning to accept that I would never genuinely be good at anything competitive. CSGO helped me find something I could enjoy in that way. The game’s emphasis on skill and constant dedication enabled me to really feel like my time investment was going to something I was actually improving at. It’s so weird to think that for a little under half my lifetime I have been putting in hours practicing spray patterns, learning new smoke lineups, and making new friends in this game.
