50

 Today marks the 50th somewhat real daily post I’ve made since I started this project. I don’t really have much to say besides that this has definitely a very interesting project for me. Obviously, I’m not doing this to get insane amount of views or build a real portfolio, that stuff requires a little more work than what I’ve been putting in here. The daily writing, whether it’s creative or not, has just been a way for me to continue practicing a skill that I’ve been wanting to work on for most of my life. This has obviously gone on with varying degrees of success, but I guess that’s the beauty of it. Out of all of the art forms, writing has always had the most respect from me. Words can very easily feel mundane, boring, and dull when shaping up against movies, art, and other visual performances. Writers have to give that same experience to people through the power of making them see what they are seeing in their own writing. That’s something that’s really really hard to do. Heck, I’ve always struggled with that. Having this really cool image in your head and then faltering when trying to put it into words. I’ve never been good at moviemaking, animation, painting/drawing, or anything else. I don’t even think I’m that good at writing, though I do have the most experience with it. So in a way, this project has allowed me to continue to be bad at writing with the idea that someday all of this will pay off and I can actually be good at it. If that makes sense to anyone then that’s great, my point has been made. So with that, I’ll just keep this post simple without having it devolve into something that’s too rambly. If you’ve read all 50 posts congrats! You’re a really cool person for doing that. If this is the first post you’ve read, check it out, a lot of my writing I’m looking for feedback for and the internet is a great place to get a lot.          “Synthesis complete.” An artificial voice, slightly distorted and almost sounding quite satisfied with itself, rang throughout a mostly empty room. In the center was a large cylindrical chamber. While the walls were glass, it was impossible to see inside due to large plumes of smoke flowing around, following an indistinguishable current. Goodbye Counter Strike: Global Offensive

  Well, considering everything that's happening in CSGO right this moment I think it's very likely today is the last day for the game. I don’t really wanna make this some long sappy post about the really nice memories I’ve had with this game so I’ll just keep it short and simple. Without CSGO, my life would never have gone this way. After spending many years failing at sports I was beginning to accept that I would never genuinely be good at anything competitive. CSGO helped me find something I could enjoy in that way. The game’s emphasis on skill and constant dedication enabled me to really feel like my time investment was going to something I was actually improving at. It’s so weird to think that for a little under half my lifetime I have been putting in hours practicing spray patterns, learning new smoke lineups, and making new friends in this game.   As the dropship flew back to base, there were no words spoken. Given the situation, Karl couldn’t blame anyone. Death was something that very few of them had ever had to deal with. “If you don’t mind me asking sir,” Artyom asked from across the cabin, “who is DeWitt?” Karl took a deep breath, there was also that matter. It was easy to forget that no one in the squad had ever met DeWitt.
