COD Suck

  Was looking at what was in the new COD season while I was traveling today and a lot of it kinda just made me sad. Like how does this stupid company get away with consistently putting out such ok content. They even BUFFED the most OP shotgun in the game. It was essentially a small upping the damage but like seriously?!?!! It’s very evidentThe game has had many issues go unfixed or unaddressed by the devs and they have the gall to publicly say they are happy with the performance. I guess they can be since the stupid gosh darn blackcell bundle was like 4th most high selling on steam. We keep giving them this amount of money for content that won’t even be around the next game. It’s stupid and dumb and just a huge result of how far triple A games have fallen. Stupid live service models making me play something that’s ok enough to enjoy because of the huge budget, but so disappointing that any “innovations” in the next game will bait me into thinking this time it will be different. I’ve made up my mind regarding call of duty. I will be buying the base game every year because I do think that the core gunplay/gamemodes of the game are consistently very strong, but I can’t really justify spending that much more simply because they are trying to milk me for that extra money at every opportunity. Quick rant because I’m tired and I’m gonna be at Commandfest baltimore tomorrow,  just love how AAA games have become >:(

Goodbye Counter Strike: Global Offensive

  Well, considering everything that's happening in CSGO right this moment I think it's very likely today is the last day for the game. I don’t really wanna make this some long sappy post about the really nice memories I’ve had with this game so I’ll just keep it short and simple. Without CSGO, my life would never have gone this way. After spending many years failing at sports I was beginning to accept that I would never genuinely be good at anything competitive. CSGO helped me find something I could enjoy in that way. The game’s emphasis on skill and constant dedication enabled me to really feel like my time investment was going to something I was actually improving at. It’s so weird to think that for a little under half my lifetime I have been putting in hours practicing spray patterns, learning new smoke lineups, and making new friends in this game.
